  • Child Care - Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS) Division of Child Care  
    The Division of Child Care has the responsibility of assuring that Oklahoma’s children and their parents have access to licensed, affordable, quality child care. This is accomplished through the administration of the federal Child Care Development Fund and the statewide licensing program that monitors child care programs for compliance with minimum requirements.

  • National Network for Child Care - National Network for Child Care (NNCC) offers extensive information on choosing child care, child development, guidance and discipline, early childhood and school-age curriculum, health and safety, nutrition, working with families, business management, child advocacy and public policy, and professional development. NNCC also hosts the Kidcare e-mail discussion list, offers a comprehensive list of national and international conferences, and provides links to hundreds of related resources. The NNCC Website is sponsored by the Cooperative Extension System, USDA/CSREES and major landgrant universities.
  • National Child Care Information Center - The National Child Care Information Center (NCCIC), a project of the Child Care Bureau, Administration for Children and Families (ACF), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is a national resource that links information and people to complement, enhance, and promote the child care delivery system, working to ensure that all children and families have access to high-quality comprehensive services.
  • Council for Professional Recognition - The Council works to improve the professional status of early childhood workers and helps to meet the growing need for qualified child care staff. Founded in 1985, the Council for Professional Recognition (the Council) is a nonprofit corporation in Washington, D.C. The Council’s mission is to increase the status and recognition of early care and education professionals who care for children from birth through 5 years of age in child care centers, family child care homes, and as home visitors. As part of the Council’s mission to professionalize the early child care field, a training team travels across the country to conduct workshops and seminars for early childhood educators and publishes books and manuals which report on the trends and developments in the field.
