proportion of teens 17 years and younger who
have engaged in sexual intercourse. 2. Lower the
pregnancy and birth rate among teens, especially
those aged 15-17 years. 3. Reduce the incidence
of STDs among teens. 4. Increase the percent of
teens that indicate they have definite ideas and
values about why they should wait until marriage
to engage in sex.

SAFE KIDS is a group of organizations and
concerned citizens from across the state who
began to mobilize in 1989 to fight the number
one killer of children. Affiliated with the
National SAFE KIDS Campaign, the Oklahoma SAFE
KIDS Coalition is dedicated to helping raise
public awareness among the general public and
policy makers and assisting in the formation of
local SAFE KIDS coalitions and chapters.
